Nov 5th – New Tech Demo w/Xsens @ PCC!

Coming at you as fast as a leaping lion, the evening of Tuesday, November 5th, we present to you the SIGGRAPH 2019 NEW TECH DEMO. Our first official event under the new SIGGRAPH banner!

In cooperation with PCC and Xsens, you’ll get an extensive demo of the Xsens motion capture system, and then be let loose to demo all of the fun VR/AR/MR toys and tech that the VR lab at PCC has to offer, including headsets by Oculus and HTC/Valve, environment scanning cameras by Matterport, object scanning tech by Structure, and a robot named Baxter. Also get the latest info on PCC’s nearby Fab Lab, and upcoming slate of VFX, CG, and other Creative Tech production classes… including such fun endeavors as VR Cinema Appreciation, drone piloting, and operating a certain shiny new Trimble TX8 laser scanner! Beware that all of the above is highly addictive… 😉

This all happens Tuesday, November 5th, from 7-8:30pm.

…so we’ll have an idea of numbers, attendance wise. Note that if there is a large response that exceeds the capacity of the VR lab, we may move the Xsens demo to the auditorium down the hall.
