We are thrilled to be arranging a screening of this year’s excellent SIGGRAPH Animation Festival Traveling Show! A program that consistently catches the best worldwide animation, visual effects, game cinematics, and advancements in computer graphics technology; the Traveling Show is a showcase of intelligent, entertaining and provocative programming from some of the world’s most creative artists. To put it simply – this memorable show keeps us talking, year after year.

Passing through Portland for Design Week this year, as it finishes the rounds nationally, the Traveling Show has a local tie. Introducing the program for us will be Christina Mackin, from local animation studio LAIKA, who served as a Festival Coordinator on the national SIGGRAPH Animation Festival committee for 2019.
All of this is happening within the friendly confines of the OMSI Empirical Theater, Thursday April 23rd from 7-9pm (doors at 6:30). The running time for the Traveling Show is about 80 minutes, and although it’s not rated, we are recommending an age of 14+ as some of the shorts have “darker” themes. Tickets are just $5 at the link below. Any proceeds go to benefit OMSI and our local SIGGRAPH chapter.
